Do you like my new blog look? I was so ready for a new look, but didn't want to take the time right now to design a new one. Then I ran across this "Blog Couture" over at Scrap Orchard. Only $3.00, came with instructions, how easy is that?

I have been busy though doing LOs and making a QP for you! Here are my LOs, done with a kit called Angel's Cry by Black Widow Creationz available at Sunflower Scraps Boutique

Freebie kit for you!

I joined in the Scrapkitchallenge group kit this month. The colors were black, white and red and the name is Formal. I had fun with this one, hope you like it!!

Since there are 3 downloads to this one, I will give you a part each day! :) A little something to look forward to! You can download the papers here!

I also want to share this LO I did for my hubby..He loves trains and this is a picture of the steam engine that runs between Silverton and Durango in Colorado. I used Steampunk kit by Cecilia Swatton over at DigiScrapStation.

You really should stop over at the Digi Scrap Station forum and check out 2 great challenges they have going this month with AWESOME prizes!! A company called High Logic had donated some wonderful software to be given away at these challenges!! You can find the challenges here and here! I plan on joining in! See you tomorrow!

I have been playing again today! I bought a frame a lot like this a couple of weeks ago,,,HAD to have it! Mostly cause this is basically my philosophy of life :) Since Christmas is coming, I made it in Christmas colors. Hope you can use it in your Christmas LOs!!

I made a turkey frame for you, The turkey on top is a pic of a Turkey one of my grandsons made and brought last night for Nana. Isn't it darling? He is 5 and does some great art work! Today I want to share a template with you that I made for a challenge I am hosting at Scraphead! I am making recipe booklets for my daughters this Christmas, came up with this template, and decided to turn it into a challenge!

actually, this isn't the template but the cover page, it gives you an idea of what it will be like! You can pick up the template here and PLEASE join in the challenge! You will get all the recipes turned in just for participating!!

Well, I have been a bad blogger! But I'm sure you all know how busy summer is:) The weeds are never ending in my flower beds, and then of course HAVE to get some motorcycle riding in!!

I got carried away with the OOB, but it was so much fun with these pics of my Nephew!!!

I also want to share a quick story with you;

Hehe, I guess the LO tells most of the story, except that when I caught him it was with a pool net with a 10 ft. pole attached. My hubby wasn't home and I had NO IDEA what to do with the snake!! After running around talking to the snake and myself, I finally got a rubbermaid carry all with a lid and dumped him in there till hubby got home and relocated him!! I used Carla Ware's kit Turtle Beach.

More exciting news!

Scraphead is having a CT call! I am a CT there and it is a great place! Lots of great designers and just all around nice people!! Stop over and look around, then contact them!!:):) One of the things I love most about being a CT (besides the great free kits!:) is the fact that I have LOs done that I love and may never had done if I weren't on CT teams:) I tend to play and go off in all directions with photoshop, but when I set out to make a LO and am going to post if for someone, it really gives me a kick in the hinney to stick with it. And the old saying that "practice makes perfect" ?

Well, I'll never do the perfect LO but I have gotten better! :):)

Kutnkudlys Kreations has a new kit called Butterflies are Free!! It's lovely! I did this LO for the August element challenge at Scraphead. The element challenge was to make your own alpha for your LO. I used a basketweave mat from the kit to make my alpha.

I am playing catch up again!!!! I have been tagged twice; by Jessica and by Magicmaker !!

So here is how it goes:

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.

So, let’s see…. 7 things about me.

1. I am addicted to flower gardening. I can’t let plants die even if they are getting invasive (like my chocolate mint!) I transplant the mint to our creek bed to give it a chance and have even transplanted volunteer sunflowers from under my birdfeeders!!
2. I have a backyard warfare every summer with grubs which become Japanese beetles so it continues throughout the summer! I hate them and what they do to my plants. So I kill grubs when I find them while digging in the spring, and drown the beetles in soapy water daily during the summer!! I think I will eventually win as each summer there are fewer of them!!!
3. I love photography and have several digital cameras. One that I carry in my purse so that I always have a camera with me. Our friends tease me about it; and I tease back by playing with pics of them in photoshop!!

4. I ride a 07 Harley Davidson Ultra Glide. We did customize it by taking the back box off and had a luggage rack built for it. My DH has one just like it but he kept the back box on his.

5. My first motorcycle was a HD 350 Sprint. My Dad brought it home when I was 15 and told my sister & I we could ride it when we could kick start it. After a lot of bruises (it kicked back!) we both learned. We had a dirt road about 1 mile long in the river bottom at our farm. Problem was if one of us dropped it we had to wait on Dad to come home from work to help us pick it back up!!!
6. I like to fish & hunt.
7. I have 5 grown children and 5 precious grandchildren. At home still: a 100lb. Black Lab (Boo), a 7lb Pom (Harley), a cat (Harvey) & a Beta named Fish!

WHEW!!! So there are 7 facts about me!

What a busy month! And I have so much news, I don't really know where to start and all of it's important to me, so I think I will spread this all out over the next couple of days!

First I am very excited to say I am a CT for Kutnkudly Kreations which has now taken over running Scraphead . Michelle Powell of Kutnkudly Kreations is so talented! I used Creative Victorian's Spring Cheer kit to make this cover for my daily planner cover. Now you can get the cover and add you own pictures!!! Get it free at Scrap n Tag

Check out the whole kit while you are there; it's a beauty!!

And here is what my cover looks like (front and back)

And the best part, I can change it when I want! My planner has a plastic cover on it that I just slip this into!! Otherwise you can also glue them, but the plastic are way better:):)

I'm very excited to be able to offer these QPs to you today!! While visiting Raspberry Road Designs blog, I found her awesome Easy Rider Kit!! Now, if you know me, or have read my bio you know that my DH and I ride our harleys all over the country! I scrapped some pages of our bikes a while back and had to piece things together in order to do so. But now!!!!!! Here is a kit for riders!! So; I made a layout right away using Easy Rider, save a QP from my layout, and shared it with Susan of Raspberry Road Designs She graciously gave me permission to share QPs with all of you! I have been a CT for Netta at Victorian Quick Page Parlor for a while; Well, GREAT news!! Netta has joined with Carolyn Kite designing for a new store SCRAP N TAG !!!! Playing here today!! I am scanning pictures from my parent's & grandparent's photo albums, and trying to scrap them as I go. HA!! Mostly scanning going on here, but at least when they are captured digitally they are easily shared and stored:)
So while I am scanning and waiting, I came across some things I had saved from Leslie Hasenkamp Designs It struck me that these item would go well with aged pictures; so I started on a layout between scans. Here are the results using Leslie's stuff:

I have loved Creative Victorian's work for a long time. I have been doing extractions for her for a while now. I so LOVED her Christmas Exquisite Kit that I made 8 brag book QPs. Today while checking out the scrapbook community, I came across a community member freebie at GDS I found some beautiful papers from Belanna. As soon as I saw them I knew I had to use them, and for something to do with weddings or life... This is what I came up with. Busy time of year! But I did get our Christmas cards done and sent for printing. They should be here Monday. I am printing envelopes later today. Talk about close!! Whew!! The snow globe is from Netta at Creative Victorian from her contribution to Christmas around the World. That is my hubby & myself on our bikes, and the background is from a picture I took in Utah a couple of years ago.
